I am a creative director, graphic designer, filmmaker, painter and photographer – living and working in the Highlands of Scotland.

My photographic experience (30 years) comes from working with some of the UK’s best commercial photographers as an art director and creative director. This has allowed me to see every aspect of life imaginable, through the lens of a film or stills camera.

Photography and image making is very much a cathartic process for me. Landscapes, people and textures are what I like to capture. It allows me to express ideas and develop images that are often overlooked or never photographed in a creative manner. Photographing everyday places, people and environments is a great creative privilege. Digital photography has changed the creative process of picture making out of all recognition, it has allowed me to develop my interest in photography to a very high level. And it has allowed me to express, in pictures, what I feel about the world I live in.
